I found the staff kind and helpful. But thy were not helped by the fact that there were not enough of them to do what was necessary
No lifts and I had a heavycase. There was only one member of staff to serve breakfast and work at reception. I sat in the dining room for some time before realising that no one was going to come unless I went to look for someone
Spent time in Boston and travelled in the surrounding area
Could do with double glazing to reduce traffic noise. No continental breakfast facility for early departures. No ' do not disturb' room signs.
very helpful and friendly staff; perfect to visit the city
The function room was realy lovely it could be used for so many occasions
not realy a complaint but it would have been nice to have face cloths and a glass in the bathroom
I liked the location of the hotel in that it was in the central area of the historical small town. I feel that it was reasonably priced.
A couple of the younger staff at front desk were not very knowledgeable with respect to historical aspects of the town. And one of them was involved with a personal chat with a friend once when I wanted to pick up my room key. I didn't interrupt because I thought that she was dealing with another hotel guest. She apologized, but said that I should have interrupted. This was not very businesslike--in my opinion. [Re #3 below: the main reason for choosing was a combination of location & price.]
Unable to park in hotel car park and therefore had to pay for 2 days parking in public car park
Just everything it was an amazing place to spend our anniversary and just have some time to ourselfs
Family room 18 was a vast improvement on the last family room I stayed in there a few years ago which was up in the gods and useless for a baby, dark and damp with peeling and stained wallpaper. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was, in effect, a 2 bedroom suite with a double in one room and twins in another. The storage space was more than adequate and having a lobby in front of the bedrooms was a nice touch, so that shoes and coats etc could be taken off before you entered the bedrooms. At the back of the hotel so no extraneous noise for the children. Beds comfortable. Daughter moaned about lack of tv in twin room but I was pleased at that
Quite a walk down very narrow corridors to get to the room, with several steps and one open steep escape staircase.Worth being warned about that at check-in if you have toddlers who like to run ahead of you. Very difficult to manouevre a medium sized suitcase on wheels. It had to be carried to the room. The twin room has a radiator blocked by one of the beds which means that the heating is limited and the heating and hot water were non existant for the second night. This was being attended to as we left. The double did have a fan heater. Not double glazed so cold in the morning. Breakfast limited on second day because although we were told it was from 9-10 am the chef was not and went home at 0930, hence no hot breakfast. No fruit but there was juice. Cereals also limited to the usual variety pack. Staff did their best and could not be faulted except that although bathroom cleaned and bins emptied, bedroom not tidied or bed made. Minor niggle
The location and service afforded by the attentive staff who permitted me to leave my vehicle in the hotel car park whilst I carried out a business visit in the local market place during the day.
Suitable for their main clientel travelling construction workers. Not for a leisure break. Slightly seedy and ver old fashioned in feel and service.
Value for money, friendly, very helpful staff, excellent breakfast.
rather shabby exteterior.
Every thing was good clean and friendly
the staff were very helpful and friendly, food was good
no lift in place to suuport moving luggage, pushchairs etc up the stairs
no wifi in room unless you are in the bar or above the bar maybe
